Our vision…
All school improvement teams will have the knowledge and skills they
need in order to make decisions that improve teaching and learning
for their students.
Our model…
The NC Network model implements school-based management in a way that
changes the culture and operation of a school. We have found that effective
SBM requires three essential pieces:
· The development of policies and parameters for shared decision-making.
· Leadership development including training in practices such as those in Facilitative Leadership®.
· The development of a School Improvement Plan that is focused on student achievement .
Our goals…
1. Provide training for school-based improvement teams in the Network LEAs.
2. Develop the capacity of partner LEAs to provide their own training.
3. Disseminate successes of the Network LEAs to other LEAs across North Carolina.
4. Evaluate the results of the model on student performance.
